Blog post 5

I found it really interesting, but expected, that both the Roman Empire and Chinese Empire emerged around the same time.  Two great powers formed because they were ahead of the times technologically and politically.  Unlike the Roman Empire, the Chinese did not recreate themselves but were empowered more by the Dynasties who led them.  By unifying the warring states in China they created a powerful country.  Both countries were described as being dependent on military force and total brutality, which seems very obvious to me when you look at what these Empires were doing; expanding their countries into something widespread and powerful with knowledge and numbers.
